PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing method and apparatus, which easily provides an image in a composition intended by a photographer, in which red eyes are indistinctive or reliably corrected. SOLUTION: A face is detected before photographing. When the face is detected, the amount of emission of flash is gradually reduced from an appropriate amount of emission, and flash photographing is performed more than once.
