PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press shaping method for aluminum alloy plates capable of shaping large sized panels of shapes which are hardly shaped. SOLUTION: In the method for press shaping the aluminum alloy plate 30 to a shaped product panel 1, a first punch 11 and a separatedly movable second panel 15 are provided and the following steps a to c are carried out in series. In a step a, the second punch 15 is displaced toward a dice 22 side in advance and the plate 30 is shaped by the first punch 11 and the dice while bringing the second punch 15 into contact with the noncontact outer peripheral sites 5, 6 of the plate 30. In a step b, the second punch 15 is displaced so as to maintain the distance between the second punch 15 and margin forming faces of the dice 22 while holding the contacting condition of the second punch 15 and the noncontact outer peripheral sites 5, 6 of the plate 30 along with the progression of the shaping. In the step c, the noncontact outer peripheral sites 5, 6 of the plate 30 are shaped by the margin forming faces of the second punch 15 and the dice 22 before the first punch 11 reaches the position of a press lower dead point.
