PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently carry out cropping of grain culms even in the case of a small amount of the grain culms and continue good reaping and harvesting operation of the grain culms without causing clogging etc., by devising constitution of an apparatus for transporting the reaped grain culms. SOLUTION: A transporting apparatus (1) for nipping and transporting the reaped grain culms from the front on one side of the right and the left to the rear on the other side of the right and the left is composed of a chain (2) on the front side for nipping the plant foot side of culm bodies of the reaped grain culms and transporting the reaped grain culms and a chain (3) on the rear side for nipping the ear tip side from the chain (2) on the front side and transporting the reaped grain culms. Furthermore, a supporting part (4) for drivably connecting the rear end of the chain (2) on the front side to the front end of the chain (3) on the rear side is installed. The supporting part (4) is composed by integrally installing a driven sprocket (5) for stretching the front end of the chain (3) on the rear side with a driving sprocket (6) for stretching the rear end of the chain (2) on the front side on the same shaft.
