PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer in which a better-quality printed result is obtained when a thermal head having high resolution is used. SOLUTION: An attitude of the thermal head 111 in which an exothermic resistor 113 is formed on a glaze layer 114 is displaced by a predetermined standard attitude when the glaze layer 114 is abutted on a platen 121 and a tilted attitude when a vertical distance from a position of the glaze layer 114 of the thermal head 111 on the upstream side in the conveying direction of a form to a horizontal plane passing the axial center of the platen 121 is parted from the vertical distance in the standard attitude.
