Provided is a fuel cell system that is capable of resuming a scavenging treatment without discomforting a user even in a case where the scavenging treatment during a fuel cell halt period is interrupted as a result of an operation by the user. A fuel cell system (10) is provided with: a fuel cell (20); gas supply systems (30, 40) supplying gas to the fuel cell; and a control device (60) controlling the gas supply systems (30, 40). The control device (60) executes the scavenging treatment by controlling the gas supply systems (30, 40) during the halt period of the fuel cell (20). In a case where the scavenging treatment is interrupted by the user′s operation, the control device (60) resumes the scavenging treatment by controlling the gas supply systems (30, 40) a predetermined period of time after the interruption. |
