A method for configuring a screen of an electronic device is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for configuring a screen comprises the following operations: obtaining a distance between an object to input to the electronic device, and the electronic device; and displaying at least one from an input screen or an output screen on a display of the electronic device. Therefore, the input screen is displayed when an object like a finger of a user is close to the electronic device, and the output screen is displayed when the object is away from the electronic device, thereby increasing convenience in user control.
