PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine system that enables an operation in an optimal combustion state by using the optimal number of cylinders in accordance with a change in the weight of a vehicle while securing output required for an internal combustion engine without difficulty and thus enables improvement of fuel economy.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine system 1 is an internal combustion engine system including a cylinder deactivation system 90 capable of executing a cylinder cut-off operation for deactivating operations of part of a plurality of cylinders 11 included in an internal combustion engine 10 mounted on a vehicle. When the weight of the vehicle is a preset set value or smaller and output required for the internal combustion engine enables execution of the cylinder cut-off operation, the cylinder deactivation system executes the cylinder cut-off operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
