PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rollable optical fiber ribbon configured to minimize breakage of bonded sections.SOLUTION: An optical fiber ribbon 1 is configured such that adjacent optical fibers (3a, 3b, 3c. 3d) are intermittently bonded together via adhesive members 5 that are spaced apart by a predetermined distance in a longitudinal direction. The bonded sections between the adjacent optical fibers (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) are distributed in a zigzag manner along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber ribbon 1a. The adhesive members 5 are provided on both the top and bottom sides of the optical fibers (3a, 3b, 3c. 3d) to be bonded together. Thicknesses T1, T2 of the adhesive members 5 on the top and bottom sides with respect to a line connecting the centers of the bonded optical fibers (3a, 3b, 3c. 3d) are both no less than 0.02 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
