PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary detection device which can reduce a number of magnets to be used.SOLUTION: A rotary input device 1 comprises: a main part 10; an operation member 20 rotatably supported by the main part 10; a ring-shaped magnet 30 that rotates so as to interlock with the operation member 20; rotary detection means 50 that detects rotation of the operation member 20; and moderation applying means 60 that applies moderation relative to the operation member 20. In the magnet 30, a first magnetization region to be magnetized to an N pole and a second magnetization region to be magnetized to an S pole are alternately disposed adjacently along a circumferential direction of the magnet 30. The rotary detection means 50 includes a magnet sensor 51 that is disposed close to the magnet 30, the moderation applying means 60 includes a ring-shaped magnetic material 61 that shares a center axis with the magnet 30 and is fixed to the main part 10 so as to be opposite to the magnet 30, and a convex portion 62 which is convex in the magnet 30 side in the magnetic material 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
