The present invention relates to a mobile terminal using intuitive gestures as an input means and a controlling method thereof. Particularly, the present invention comprises: a sensing unit for sensing the motion of the mobile terminal; a wireless communication unit for transmitting and receiving wireless signals to and from an external terminal; and a control unit for sensing a distance with the external terminal, based on the strength of the received wireless signal and for performing a preset function, when the sensed motion corresponds to the predetermined motion while the sensed distance is within a predetermined distance. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a wearable type of the mobile terminal and the controlling method thereof capable of performing control more easily. |
