Provided is a gas compressor that enables the installation area to be reduced and enables rattling of a rotor to be suppressed. This gas compressor (100) is equipped with a screw-type compressor main body (1) and a motor (2) for driving the compressor main body (1), the compressor main body (1) and the motor (2) being integrally formed. The compressor main body (1) and the motor (2) are oriented vertically such that rotary shafts (14A, 14B) of the compressor main body (1) and a rotary shaft (3) of the motor (2) extend in the vertical direction, with the compressor main body (1) being arranged on the upper side of the motor (2). Furthermore, the configuration is such that a compression chamber (S) of the compressor main body (1) draws in gas via an intake port (23) on the lower side, moves upward and compresses the gas, and discharges the compressed gas via a discharge port (20) on the upper side. |
