The present invention relates to a sampling device (1) for withdrawing a plurality of samples from a fluid container. The sampling device (1) comprises a support member (2) for mounting into a port of a fluid container and a plurality of rotatable inserts (6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, 6e), each insert having a through conduit forming an eccentric aperture (38) within the distal end surface (37) of insert, the through conduit (23) being alignable and misalignable with a respective through passage (5) of the support member by rotating the insert (6) relative to the support member (2). In another aspect, the present invention relates to a method of withdrawing a sample from a fluid container and the use of cylindrical elements to that effect. |
