PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle headlamp capable of improving utilization efficiency of light that is reflected by an incident surface of a projection lens and that is not incident into the projection lens among direct light from a semiconductor light-emitting element.SOLUTION: A vehicle headlamp includes: a semiconductor light-emitting element 12 arranged at a reference point F of a lens or near the reference point F, and emitting light incident from the second surface into the lens, emitted from the first surface, and irradiated forward; and a reflection surface 16 for overhead-sign light distribution pattern arranged below the semiconductor light-emitting element 12. The second surface is designed to reflect a part of the light from the semiconductor light-emitting element 12 and directed to be focused toward the reflection surface for overhead-sign light distribution pattern. The first surface is designed so that the light from the semiconductor light-emitting element 12 that is emitted from the first surface and that is irradiated forward forms a low-beam light distribution patten. |
