PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device of an engine, which is easy to change the shape and size of an intake air deflection rib by additional processing.SOLUTION: In an intake device of an engine, an intake port 2 is provided in a cylinder head 1. The intake port 2 comprises a tangential port 3. The tangential port 3 comprises an outlet port portion 3b situated above an intake valve port 3a and an intake air guide port portion 3c situated the upstream of the outlet port portion 3b. The tangential port 3 is provided with an intake air deflection rib 4 to deflect intake air 5 passing through the tangential port 3 to near a cylinder peripheral wall 7 by the intake air deflection rib 4. The intake air deflection rib 4 is projected from a peripheral wall surface 3d of the outlet port portion 3b, a projecting end edge portion 4a of the intake air deflection rib 4 is arranged near a central part of the outlet port portion 3b, and a cylinder side end edge portion 4b of the intake air deflection rib 4 is faced to the intake valve port 3a. |
