PURPOSE:The titled stirrer having stirring function utilizing bubbling and stirring function utilizing blades by composing a hollow disk having small holes for bubbling perforated to a rear surface and a peripheral surface of a disk with a fixed pitch to a bottom end of a tubular revolving bar provided with helical blades. CONSTITUTION:Molten glass 7 is poured into a vessel 2, then the stirrer is driven to scoop up the molten glass 7 upward and the molten glass is stirred in the vertical direction by the helical blades 3 of the stirrer. Gas is introduced simultaneously through the tubular revolving bar 4 into the hollow disk 6. The gas is compressed and blown into the molten glass 7 through the small holes 5 for bubbling at the rear surface and the periphery of the disk, thus, foams and striae in the molten glass 7 are removed surely and effectively. Furthermore, since stirrer has both functions for stirring by bubbling and by blades, the glass melting device is miniaturized. |
