PURPOSE:To prevent an interference fringe pattern from appearing on an image by forming specified nonparallel interfaces in a photosensitive layer, and incorporating an element selected from O, C, and N in a photoreceiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A carrier injection preventive layer 903 is formed on a substrate 901, and the photosensitive layer 904, such as an amorphous Si layer, is formed on this layer 903. The layer 904 has a number of interfaces arranged at least in one direction in a plane perpendicular to the layer thickness direction and each smoothly linking to each other in the arrangement direction and each having a pair of nonparallel interfaces or more, in a short range of 0.3-500mum. The surface layer 905 made of an amorphous material contg. Si and C is formed on the layer 904. The intended photoreceiving member 900 is obtained by incorporating an element selected from O, C, and N in the photoreceiving layer 902 composed of the layers 903, 904, 905. |
