PURPOSE:To obtain a power amplifier having excellent gain deviation over the entire band by providing a channel controller applying switching control of each frequency channel stored by a preset tuner and switching the channel to a frequency channel tuned in advance at the change of a transmission frequency. CONSTITUTION:When 14 channels are provided, each channel is tuned in a way that each characteristic of band width and gain gradient in each amplification band is best. In taking notice onto the gain deviation over the entire band, the difference between a gain 6 of the lowest frequency channel and a gain 7 of the highest frequency channel is 3-4dB maximum and the component of the gain deviation is a linear slope of maximum nearly 4dB/entire band as shown in 8 in the figure. Then the gain deviation over the entire band is kept within 1dB by the simple adjustment of a linear slope equalizer having the opposite characteristic as the 8. A klystron 4 and the linear slope equalizer 1 are adjusted as above and a channel controller 5 is driven according to the transmission frequency change. |
