摘要

PURPOSE:To improve runnability even after repetitive use and to improve a high frequency range characteristic in particular by constituting a magnetic tape of a biaxially stretched polyester film contg. 0.01-5% specific compd. and having 0.01-0.03mu surface roughness. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic tape is constituted of the polyester contg. aliphat. polyol having preferably >=4 hydroxyl groups in the molecular and 0.01-5wt.% ester compd. of aliphat. monocarboxylic acid of >=8C. Good slidability is insufficient if the content thereof exceeds said lower limit and blocking arises when the content exceeds the upper limit. The film is biaxially stretched to have 0.01-0.03mu surface roughness. Slipperiness is poor if the roughness exceeds the lower limit and magnetic characteristics are deteriorated if the roughness exceeds the upper limit. The runnability is thereby improved in the repetitive used and the recording medium having the excellent high-frequency range characteristic in particular is obtd.
