The equipment is for the conversion of an optical signal to one electrical and comprises a home unit for connecting borad band with two parts working together, a part for fiber termination and a part for conversion to electrical signals. The conversion part is a small box which can easily be pushed into the fiber termination part, like a drawer in a desk, thereby constituting a convertor connected to the fixed part of the home unit. The home unit fiber termination is enclosed in a plastic box, forming a 'housing', fixed to a wall, with a space for holding fiber coils, with a device for joining in so-called pig tails and incoming fiber casings. |
