PURPOSE:To prevent the quantity of replenished toner from being uneven in the breadthwise direction of development at the time of replenishing the toner by providing plural partitioning walls which partition the inside of a toner cartridge in the breadthwise direction of image. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a toner cartridge casing is divided into plural chambers in the breadthwise direction of developing (the lengthwise direction) by plural partitioning walls 14 (six partitioning walls in the figure), and nearly equal quantities of toner 2 are preliminarily stored in respective chambers, and the whole of an aperture is covered with a seal 13. Consequently, the toner 2 in each chamber has the surface inclined but the toner is uniformly replenished as the whole when the cartridge is attached to a developing device after being shaked or inclined at the time of replenishing the toner, and the toner is agitated by an agitator to attain a uniform toner density distribution in the breadthwise direction. Thus, the toner is uniformly replenished into the developing device with the very simple constitution to improve the image quality. |
