PURPOSE:To exchange heat between refrigerant in a manifold and electrolyte by inserting cooling pipes to install wherein refrigerant flow in the manifold of a cell stack. CONSTITUTION:Pipes 60, 61 for flow of refrigerant are inserted and installed in the supply-side common manifold 53 and the discharge-side common manifold 54 of a cell stack 49. Heat is exchanged between the recirculating electrolyte whose temperature rises due to charging and discharging of a cell and refrigerant through the pipe wall of the pipe 61 of the manifold 54. The heat of refrigerant reaches a radiator 62 through the pipe 61 and is radiated to the air by a fan 63. The heat generated by self-discharge while the cell is left on the shelf is also exchanged for refrigerant in the manifold near the stack 49. Thereby, it is possible to effectively control a temperature rise of the cell stack by a simple constitution. |
