PURPOSE:To provide an information exchange system between vehicles on roads which is capable of easily recognizing the mutual location relations between vehicles, regardless of the number of vehicles and the space between vehicles. CONSTITUTION:A beacon is provided with a transmitter-receiver for communicating with vehicles, the group ID of a vehicle and a vehicle ID are received when each vehicle passes below the beacon, and they are transmitted with a beacon ID to a center 1-1 and are stored in a memory 1-2. At the same time, a means transmitting the beacon ID and the vehicle ID which belong to the same group ID stored in the memory to the vehicle is provided. The vehicle receives the beacon ID and the vehicle ID corresponding to each vehicle belonging to the same group, the location of the beacon ID on a map is preliminarily determined, the pertinent map data is read from a data base 1-10 based on the received beacon ID, it is displayed on a display 1-8 and the running location of its own vehicle and the locations of other vehicles can be displayed. |
