USE OF AN ECDYSTEROID IN COSMETICS OR DERMATOLOGY

Cosmetic or dermatological composition and cell culture medium. Said composition and medium contain an ecdysteroid, a derivative thereof or a plant or animal extract containing same. The composition, in particular, softens and smoothes the skin, reinforcing its hydric barrier and the epidermis's cell cohesion. The composition can also be used to obtain healthier looking hair. The culture medium can be used advantageously in mass keratinocyte culture.
