PURPOSE:To properly arrange the head character positions of each line in a prescribed format just with input of sentences by adding the space characters to the head of each line when the detected information on a document title is displayed. CONSTITUTION:A Japanese word processing system includes a CPU 101, a memory 102, a keyboard 103, a display device 104 and a file device 105. Then the format is analyzed for the character that is supplied from the head of a line in an input character format recognizing process. When a line feed character is supplied to show the end of a line, it is decided whether the line format shows the title of a chapter, a paragraph, a clause or another title. If a chapter title is decided after a line feed character, a space equivalent to one character is secured. Then the spaces equivalent to two and four characters are secured for a paragraph title and for a clause title and another title respectively. |
