<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for thermally sterilizing cans, capable of heating a fruit and a saccharide solution to a fixed temperature in a short time by jetting steam from the bottom part of the cans to circulate the saccharide solution and to provide a device for thermal sterilization. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 16 vertically movable by the position relation of the pipe 16 is arranged above a container placing part 9 and the pipe 16 and the container placing part are moved as a pair. The pipe 16 is equipped with a cover 25 having an exhaust vent so as to cover an opening part 30 of a bottomed container 31 to be placed on the container placing part 9. The pipe 16 is provided with a nozzle 15 projecting below the cover 25 and steam is jetted from the nozzle 15 by the position relation in the vertical direction of the pipe 16.</p> |
