The two half-shells(11,12) of the sleeve fitted over the oppositely lying pipe ends are braced on both sides by two sealing clamps(31-34) and in their final position a defined gap remains between the two clamps on the lower side and between the two clamps on the upper side. On the inside of the half-shells, on both sides of the inlaid sealing mats, clamping elements(42,44) are installed in a corresponding groove which is closed in relation to the planes of separation of the half-shells. |
