<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a unit can easily be removed from the body. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a guide rail 45 for guiding the movement of an intermediate transfer unit 10 between a regular position and a separating position, and the guide rail 45 is successively provided with an inclined part 45a shifting the intermediate transfer unit 10 upward, and a horizontal part 45b guiding the intermediate transfer unit 10 already shifted, while keeping it in a horizontal state in the drawing-out direction of the intermediate transfer unit 10. The intermediate transfer unit 10 is provided with a blocking member 50 for blocking the movement of the unit in the drawing-out direction by butting against the front plate 41 of the apparatus body, when the unit is drawn out to a position where it is guided by the horizontal part 45b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
