An electrophotographic toner at least comprising a colorant, a binder resin, a charge control agent, and a functionalizing agent, characterized in that a low molecular-weight polyolefin wax prepared by the use of a metallocene polymerization catalyst is contained as the functionalizing agent. This toner is excellent in fixation, offset resistance, heat response, inhibition of spent tone generation and storage stability and can give clear and highquality images.
