Bicycle parking stand with lock

The bicycle stand consists of a system of jaws which is mounted at the top end of a tube which is firmly anchored in the ground. The jaws (13) can hinge about a point (17) near their centre and are loaded into the locking position by a spring (19). Rollers (21) are mounted at the ends of the jaws so that the jaws can be pushed easily over a tube of the bicycle frame. The jaws are kept in the closed position by a plug (27) which is pushed between the ends of the jaws by e.g. an electro-magnet.
