PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a process for manufacturing color filters capable of eliminating unequalness in the flatness of surfaces and contributing to an improvement in quality by coating and depositing a resin on a substrate, then placing the substrate under a satd. solvent atmosphere, thereby flattening the rein surface. SOLUTION: A vat with a heating mechanism contg. substitutive fluorocarbon is placed on the lower stage of a vessel which is cooled (<=5 deg.C) and may be completely hermetically sealed. A cassette contg. the undried substrate 10 coated and deposited with colored transparent resins 11 of red, green and blue by a three-color printing machine is arranged on the upper stage. At this time, the substrate 10 is placed horizontal. After the vessel is completely hermetically sealed, the fluorocarbon is heated (20 to 55 deg.C) to maintain the satd. state in the vessel and the vessel is rested in this state for a prescribed time (10 to 60 minutes). Next, the vessel is cooled and the substrate 10 is taken out thereof after confirmation that the fluorocarbon liquefies. The pigments 13 of the colored transparent resins 11 are thus settled and are retrained in this position. On the other hand, only the vehicles 12 fluidize and flow on the substrate 10, thereby forming the flat surface. |
