The invention is based on a known fixing device for a door provided with a door closer, with a sliding arm which is arranged between door leaf and frame and which at one of its ends is mounted in an articulated manner on the leaf or on the frame and at its other end is guided displaceably by a guide rail arranged on the frame or on the door and interacts with an electromagnet. In the known fixing device, the electromagnet is arranged in the movement path of the slider. This results in the disadvantage that the door can be controlled only in a limited range.
