PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroxy apatite composite material, which is a structural body having a hydroxy apatite layer formed on the surface of a high polymer molding in a stable form and free from the stripping and falling off of the hydroxy apatite layer and the producing method. SOLUTION: The hydroxy apatite composite material has the structure formed by laminating the hydroxy apatite layer on the high polymer molding in a stably bonded state and is composed of a laminated structure having a hydrophilic polymer layer formed on the high polymer molding and the hydroxy apatite layer formed thereon, which are laminated as the layers in the stabilized state by the bonding force of the high polymer molding, the hydrophilic layer and the hydroxy apatite layer to each other.
