PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duct clogging checking method for easily checking whether or not each duct (air and water feed ducts in particular) of an endoscope is clogged. SOLUTION: In this method for checking whether or not ducts of an endoscope are clogged, the ducts (b), (a) or the like of the endoscope 80 are connected to the lines N5, N6 of an air pump EP and an endoscope body and the ducts thus connected are immersed in the washing vessel 2 of a washing device which is filled with water W, to determine whether or not air E fed from the air pump is discharged as air bubbles when the ducts are immersed in the washing vessel 2. Thus, the endoscope can be easily and efficiently checked to see whether or not its operating part and its light source connection are clogged.
