PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an alignment film of a liquid crystal display device is provided by alignment-processing to the alignment film on at least one substrate so that an acute angle made of the alignment direction of the alignment film and the direction of a liquid crystal element faced with the alignment film is more than 0 degree. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing an alignment film of a liquid crystal display device, a substrate is provided. An alignment film is applied on the substrate. A light is illuminated on the alignment film so that an acute angle made of the alignment direction of the alignment film and the direction of a liquid crystal element faced with the alignment film is more than 0 degree. Therefore, the liquid crystal display device has the desired twist angle, thereby improving the contrast rate and visibility angle.
