PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compact a structure, expand the service life, and to improve so that it is adequate to usage for a movable spectroscope, by separately arranging a positive electrode and a micro hollow negative electrode under discharge condition in a discharge chamber filled with sealed gas containing deuterium and setting partial pressure of the deuterium in the sealed gas higher than a specific value. SOLUTION: A partial pressure of the deuterium in the sealed gas is set higher than 20 mbar. A positive electrode 2 comprising a molybdenum plate and a micro hollow negative electrode 3 are fixed and faced to each other with a predetermined thickness of a quartz made plate 5, and for example 200μm through hole 4 is provided in a cylindrical lamp bulb 1 made of quartz glass. The lamp bulb 1 is sealed with pure deuterium at cold sealing pressure 200 mbar. The positive electrode 2 and the micro hollow negative electrode 3 are coupled to a voltage source 12 capable of supplying direct current, for example, 450 V, 20 mA, and 9 W, through electric connecting lines 6, 7 and molybdenum foils 8, 9.
