PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable execution of a separating operation for both housings without trouble. SOLUTION: In this connector, a lever 23 has a discrimination means 31 allowing visual discrimination of relative position relation to a cam pin 14 in a turning direction of the lever 23 when both housings 10, 20 have a shallow fitting state. A masking part 32 perfectly covers up the cam pin 14 when the lever 23 is positioned at a regular waiting position, while the cam pin 14 is partially exposed in an exposure part 33 when the lever 23 is shifted from the regular waiting position even if only slightly. That is, it can be decided whether the lever 23 is positioned at the regular waiting position or not, according as the cam pin 14 is perfectly hidden or not. Thereby, when both the housings 10, 20 are separated from the shallow fitting state, interference between the cam pin 14 and a start end part opening edge 29A of a cam groove 29 can be prevented by certainly turning the lever 23 to the regular waiting position.
