PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a noise signal contaminated in a sonar or the like to enhance the S/N ratio. SOLUTION: An array is constituted of a plurality of echo sounder receivers 111-119 arranged matrix-likely. The echo sounder receivers 111-119 constituting the array 100 are divided into four vertical, lateral and diagonal combinations 101-104 including the central echo sounder receiver 115, and output signals of the respective echo sounder receivers 111-119 are delayed by delay unit 121-129 to be processed by a processing part including a plurality of adders 131-434, averaging units 141-442 and adaptive filter calculators 160-460. A reference signal of a directional characteristic having the minimum part along a phasing direction is formed to remove a component of the reference signal contained in a primary signal.
