PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and increase reliability by increasing the rate of the lowering of a suction pressure at the beginning of an operation and suppressing the rise of the internal pressure of a compression chamber in a refrigerating air conditioner. SOLUTION: This refrigerating air conditioner comprises an evaporator 4, a scroll compressor 1, and a controller 30 forming a refrigerating cycle by connecting a condenser 2 to a pressure reducing device 3 through pipes and controlling the intermittent operation of the scroll compressor 1. Also, a restrictor is fitted to the suction side of the scroll compressor to restrict the suction flow by operating the restrictor at the beginning of the start of the scroll compressor 1.
