<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print instruction device for suppressing the dissociation of an output image with respect to print setting requesting print and a print result to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: Print setting set by a print driver installed in a client PC 100 is stored in a storage part 22, and a configuration information acquisition request is made from a control part 21 to a printer 100, and a configuration detection part 15 of the printer 100 detects the configuration, and makes a response with the configuration information. The control part 21 which has received the configuration of the printer reads the configuration information in the case of previous output stored in the storage part 22, and compares it with the acquired configuration information, and when they are matched, makes a print request with the set print setting, and when they are not matched, decides whether or not the print output with the set print setting is affected by the changed configuration.
