<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high brightness semiconductor light-emitting device and semiconductor light-emitting apparatus which can enhance reliability by controlling impairment. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor light-emitting device includes a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, a light-emitting layer provided between the first and second semiconductor layers, a first electrode provided on the first semiconductor layer, a second electrode having a first metal film provided on the second semiconductor layer and containing at least any one of silver and a silver alloy and a second metal film provided on the first metal film and substantially containing no silver, and a dielectric film spaced from the first metal film on the second semiconductor layer.
