<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matrix array drive device capable of reducing instantaneous current to be let flow through a pixel without causing increase in a circuit scale or deterioration of resolution. <P>SOLUTION: The matrix array drive device uses a horizontal scanning circuit 10 and a vertical scanning circuit 20 to drive a matrix array 30. The horizontal scanning circuit 10 controls signal electrodes Ya1-Yan and Yb1-Ybn in the matrix array 30 so that data signals DATA corresponding to N rows of the matrix array 30 are latched one row after another in every predetermined horizontal scanning period and a latch output for each row is continued for every horizontal scanning periods of N rows. The vertical scanning circuit 20 controls scanning electrodes DU1, DU2, X1-Xm, and DL in the matrix array 30 so that the matrix array 30 is simultaneously driven by N rows and rows to be driven are shifted by one row in every horizontal scanning period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
