<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the polymer battery of a configuration in which gas is hard to occur at initial charging/discharging stage. <P>SOLUTION: Relating to an electrode active material for a polymer battery, at least one surface selected from a group including a positive electrode active material and a negative electrode active material is covered with a coating layer containing lithium ion conductive inorganic solid electrolyte and conductive fiber with no gap.
