PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration-detecting apparatus which can easily detect a failure. SOLUTION: A pair of acceleration sensors provided at an acceleration- detecting apparatus main body 1 are arranged with respective sensitivity axes inclined by inclination angles θA, θB to a horizontal axis H. An output signal α1 corresponding to a horizontal acceleration αH and an output signal α2 corresponding to a vertical acceleration αV are operated at an operation circuit. When an object an acceleration of which is to be detected stands still, the output signal α2 corresponding to the vertical acceleration αV is compared with the vertical acceleration αV which is to be obtained at the normal time because of a gravitational acceleration, so that a failure of the acceleration- detecting apparatus is detected. |
