PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle brake pedal device that can reduce travel distance toward the rear of a brake pedal pad when a partition wall for supporting a pedal bracket is deformed backward, and can be mounted also to a vehicle (for example, a minivan) in which a push rod is short.SOLUTION: In a vehicle brake pedal device 100, when a vehicle collides frontward, a pedal bracket 20 is moved backward, and a movable plate 80 is brought into contact with a fixing member 51 and is rotated. Thus, a pressing part 83 of the movable plate is brought into contact with a clevis 70, a breakable portion 72 of the clevis is broken, and connection between the clevis 70 and a connecting arm 40 is released. After that, the connecting arm 40 is rotated frontward relative to the pedal bracket 20, and a backward retreat of the brake pedal pad 31 is suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
