PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cooler for an exhaust gas recirculation system in which operation points with different cooling power can be achieved by a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: The exhaust gas cooler comprises: cooling parts 20 and 20' including a cooling duct and an additional duct; and an exhaust gas passage control device 40 including a block member. The cooling duct has first cooling power and a first pressure loss coefficient, and the additional duct has second cooling power and a second pressure loss coefficient. The first cooling power is greater than the second cooling power, and the first pressure loss coefficient is larger than the second pressure loss coefficient. In order to increase entire cooling power and an entire pressure loss coefficient, the block member is configured appropriately for blocking the flow of an exhaust gas in the additional duct.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
