Provided is an imaging device that can reduce the effects of foreign matter such as dust on an imaging element and for which precise adjustments can easily be carried out during assembly. A camera 102, which is an imaging device, is provided with: a substrate 2 whereon an imaging element 1 is mounted; a base member 3 affixed to the substrate 2 around the imaging element 1; a lens holder 5 for holding a lens 4; and a holding member 6 holding the lens holder 5 and disposed on the base member 3. The camera 102 is further provided with an intermediate member 7 disposed between the holding member 6 and the base member 3. The intermediate member 7: has an opening part 71 for exposing the imaging element 1; surrounds the imaging element 1 while leaving an intervening space with the substrate 2; and has, around the opening part 71 on the side opposite from the substrate 2, a recessed part 72 for capturing foreign matter. |
