PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, when forming an image on a recording medium having irregularity on the surface, deterioration of alignment of the image due to repeated transfer of a monochrome image on the recording medium.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes control means for controlling performance, in repeating a step for transferring a toner image transferred on an intermediate transfer body 25 to a single surface of a recording medium 33 multiple times, to include at least one transfer step for collectively transferring a multicolor toner images transferred on the intermediate transfer body 25 to the recording medium 33 among transfer steps, and repeat the transfer steps multiple times that is less than the number of colors ultimately transferred to the recording medium 33. |
