PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire application to be executed and content data related to the application from an external supply source in accordance with a request of the device itself.SOLUTION: The receiving device comprises: an application information acquisition part 472 which acquires an Application Information Table (AIT) of carousel transmission; an application request part which supplies an application request signal to a receiving device application server corresponding to a location shown by location information on the basis of an application control code; an application acquisition part which acquires application transmitted from the receiving device application server; an application execution part 435 which performs execution processing of the acquired application; a content request part which supplies a content request signal to a content distribution server which stores content data associated with the application in accordance with the execution processing of the application; and a content acquisition part which acquires the content data transmitted from the content distribution server.
