PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp that can increase the amount of light emitted from an end near-field region in the short-length direction of a light emission portion of a discharge tube.SOLUTION: A discharge lamp 10 comprises a discharge tube 100, and a first electrode 200 and a second electrode 300 which are a pair of electrodes provided to the discharge tube 100 along the longitudinal direction of the discharge tube 100. A second electrode 300 which is any one of the pair of electrodes, includes a first electrode line group 310 including a plurality of electrode lines extending in the longitudinal direction, and a second electrode wire group 320 including a plurality of electrode wires extending in a direction intersecting to the longitudinal direction, the first electrode line group 310 includes an intra-area electrode line 311 which is disposed in a light radiation area R into which light from the discharge pipe 100 is irradiated, and comprises a plurality of electrode lines, and a current density reduction unit 312 that reduces the density of current flowing through the intra-area electrode line 311.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
