PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an image processing quantity in an image processing apparatus.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with a depth acquisition part and an object detection part. In the image processing apparatus, the depth acquisition part acquires a depth in the optical axis direction of a lens forming a main image, in association with each pixel in the main image. The object detection part executes object detection to detect a specific object, on a detection area composed of pixels corresponding to the depth within a predetermined range in the optical axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
